"2vm", I believe is 88-89 era. I did some searching previously to find out the year of some parts I have.

I have a brand new full clutch if you're interested.

I think from memory up to 94 cylinder will fit, 95-97 cylinders have different exhaust mounting.

I have the same in the shed, 2vm bottom end with 4ew cylinder but my bottom end is a WR

There's a 6' long spreadsheet on a site someone has done for x-reference Yamaha parts. Google it.
or this may help:
https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/yamaha-parts/yamaha-model-prefix-motorcycles-1970-1994.aspx

Cliff Notes:
86 1LX
87 2HG
88 2VN
89 3JD
90 3SR
91 3XJ
92 4DB
93 4EX

HELPFUL IN EBAY times cuz many have no idea what they are selling sad

These are for 125 & I'm not sure on 250 and may be useless to you but figured id pass it on. Comparing parts #'s @ zilla should answer that?
