Yamaha DT250
Long gone!

It had a Joe Bolger Skunkworks rear shock(s) linkage kit on it with Boge Mulhollands when I sold it, along with a Number 1 products 'Trickit' long travel fork kit and a Bassani pipe.

Anyone remember those :?:

It was a huge step up from the stock suspension. I think it had about 6 1/2 or 7 inches of travel compared to 3 1/2 or 4 stock. It took me awhile to get the springs figured out, though.

A friend of mine was buddies with Marty Tripes, and he had Marty's dad revalve my stock thermo-flows with Mikuni mainjets to allow compression and rebound adjustment by changing jets. I bent those shocks in a hare scrambles in East Palestine, OH and that's when I bought the Boge shocks and skunkworks kit.

Hey Winn, what'cha laughing at?

I was cool, 14 years old, my voice had finished changing, Beatle boots, Buco half jet and 65 cc's of raw power. I had those Jr. High girls wetting their panties. 8)

OK, the glasses could have used some work.

I look at these pictures of these bikes, however obscure they maybe, and I know that they were truly loved by their teenage owners.Im sure the Harley, the Suzuki's,the Honda90 and the Yamaha twin with a knobby,at one time were the coolest thing ever...
