I think by the time they came out with the black/yellow and red/yellow scott boots they were losing their popularity. I saw several pairs of the black/yellow but the only red/yellow boots I ever saw were the ones I had.

Looking back, I don't really remember why. I hated that bike with a nuclear capability. I put it up for sale after a handful of races. I had a friend that just wouldn't listen to me and he bought it. He knocked himself out on it one Sunday and only remembers the drive to Indian Dunes that day.

I would not have know how to even find a Can-am but when Donnie Hansen finished 8th on one at one of the Supercross races I thought they must be pretty good. One of may favorite bikes ever was the black and orange Can-am but if I rode one I would have changed my mind.

I wore the red, blue scott boots, I thought they
were the best ever!
Yes, at first you could not feel, until you put some time
in the boots.
The protection was great!
I washed my boots all the time, and they dried
in minutes,
Wore the boots for 10 years!

I had a pair of AXO Air boots and a pair of M. Robert Ro-boots 2. The AXO's weighed a ton and we're very uncomfortable. The Ro-boots were the ones I always wore - I loved those things!

Lots of the old pics that you guys are posting you were rocking the red and yellow gear, I would only wear red and yellow gear and did until you could not find it any more. I still have some tucked away in boxes but it must have shrunk while in storage because it way too small now. Blush

I know a lot of people hated the scoot boots but I think they were the best boots made. You could stick your feet any place and it would not hurt.

Lake Whitney! That's the approach to the hill climb above the CR in the background.

I loved Scott Boots.
They were light. Stayed light when it was wet. Great protection.I never had problems braking or shifting in them. Not that regular boots had the best feel. To me if you hurt your knee in Scott Boots you would have hurt your knee in any boot.I've heard people blame the boot for hurting their knee soon as the clipped the last buckle. Id ride with them today if I didn't stand out like a freak wearing them

I wanted a pair of these soooo BAD in 1982! I was 14 and thought they were so trick, Jimmy Gibson and Radical Ron Turner wore the White ones. I would still love a pair of white one's size 11 please!
