I can't give you specific dimensions, but I have used them with success on older KYB shocks. The outer diameter is slightly larger, so spring to airbox boot clearance will be tighter. If you get a YZ Ti spring, make sure it has the two spring rubbers in place and that they are in good condition. They tend to wear out quick, so I usually keep a couple spares.....they're cheap.

Since everyone likes pictures, here is my '90 RMX with a 5.5 kg YZ450 spring in it.

(and for barkhard696, 49mm Showa forks!)

The inside diameters should be 59mm and 62mm give or take a fraction and should go straight on the std 89 kx250 shock.

You may be thinking of the 250f.......the 450's still had the Ti spring in '09. Springs came in either red or natural color depending which color bike it came off of.

I measure a 5.5kg spring at 2 5/16" ID and 11" long.
I just bought a 4.8kg for my new Noleen shock and it's too long.
If you need to know if spending the money is worth the weight loss, a 5.5 Ti spring is just shy of 44oz in my scale.
