I have spent the last 8 months getting to this point,, the new ignition is finally here to replace the Motoplat,, it should be running for the first time in over 30 years in the next few days. I found most of this in a barn that it hadn't been out of since the mid 80s.

I forgot who made it, but it's been a PAIN getting it to fit and work correctly,, looks good but I still have a little more work to do to get the kicker working right,,, at this point I would rather have a not cracked stocker but those are crazy prices and hard to find. Today I need to get the engraved part painted black

I had two stockers, sold all old husky parts 10yrs ago to buy a new husky..
Had spare sets of ITC shocks also, did not realise the value of the old parts..
Looking for a pair of ITC to try on the Red rocket

I have a pair that I will be rebuilding soon, I have been saving them for a 83 430 XC I will be getting started on soon although I've been trying to talk myself out of it and part it out. I already have enough bikes I don't ride because I can't stop building more bikes

Beautiful- always rather liked those 82.5 models, they surely are very pretty bikes and unusual IMO. That looks a great resto job also.

What does she run like, compared to say a SuZooki RM/ or Yam YZ or all the 500's (CR's/ KX) come to that of the same sort of period?

I'm not looking forward to starting the Husky. The few times I rode the RM I loved it but I'm still working on getting it jetted on a regular round slide 38mm. I about had a stroke with the Screwball flat slide with no idle screw
