Saddleback (current photo I took about a year ago) heading into the pits. You can see Suicide Mountain in the background (telephone pole on the terraces). Also you can see the right hand turn heading up Webco on the far right - I miss this place.

The second photo is Namur, Belgium. Incredible racetrack, more like an enduro.
For me a grassy type track, that's why I love Farleigh Castle UK, I love the way it cuts up through the weekend.

That track and the history still amaze me.
The track looks great, but amazing because I cannot believe whoever owned or controlled the property allowed a MX track to be built in the first place. Let alone a GP venue.

If that was the US, the tree hugger environmental freaks would tie themselves to the trees to block anyone from even walking near such a "historical monument".

We cannot even keep tracks that are miles from anything without some nut job filing a lawsuit.

This would be like having a AMA National on the grounds of a Revolutionary War fort (probably a bad example- but just the idea of a MX track on a historical site blows my mind).

My dream track that I have ridden, would be Indian Dunes 1984 for a Trans-Cal race.

I was only riding 125 novice at the time, and only finished mid-pack from what I recall.

But that was the most fun I have ever had racing, only thinking about the track and not the results.

It was my first and only time at that track, I was just 16 and only a few months from 80's to 125's.

Perfect combo of sand and loam, no huge doubles or any crazy shit, just an incredible track. Have had much better memories from winning races, but for just having a fun day (without being the fastest guy), Indian Dunes was it for me.

There was Claude Osteen Cycle Park 1974 near Westmont in Pomona CA, that was a hard track with a huge start. We also had a dream track back in 1978 in Diamond Bar Ca, 57 Fwy & Temple, It was a Carlsbad type track. Will never forget. I have pics some where ! 125 Junior at that time. Diamond Bar had huge uphills and down hills, off cambers etc. If I had to choose another dream track in would be the Shadow Glen track at Indian Dunes CA. 1980 on. Also, Corona Raceway in CA had a nice track especially when they ran an extended track with races like the Leap Year GP, those were the days !
