Looking to purchase a 1980 RM400 airbox, OEM or aftermarket. Also, a decent pair of rear shocks. Needing a rebuild is ok. Let me know what you have or links to where I might find the parts. Thanks.

Bump... Still looking for the Airbox for my 1980 RM400T. Can't believe that they are this difficult to find. 🤔

Thanks for the tip, Achahoish… But no go. :-(
These must be like gold. Can't find one anywhere.

It's possible the airbox from the 79/80 RM250 is the same. Or the PE250 and 400

Max power,
Tried looking those up as well... nothing. I have not posted a wtb ad for '79 RM / PE airboxes. Guess it couldn't hurt.

Off the wall thought!!

What about 3D printing. Can you get the dimensions from someone. I'm reading everywhere that 3D printing is the "next big thing" for one offs

Whadya think?

Hudwieser, this may be your lucky day. I went junking today at a former Suzuki shop in Texas. They had a boneyard and found a chassis for an RM-400 with a decent airbox. I snagged it for you. Here is a photo, there are some cracks around two of the mounting bolts. Let me know if you are still needing this. Photo

Hastlejoe,
Awesome! Yes, still need the airbox and all associated parts. What's the price plus shipping to 32174 FL? Thanks for the help.

Hey Sparky,
Yeah, tried them first... they don't have them for the '79-'80 model years. Looks like they stop @ '78 C/C2 models. Thanks.

I think that would be a great idea. I will have to do some more leg work to get the airbox dimensions, and find someone with a 3D printer willing to do it. Curious as to the cost... if it is feasible, may do it anyway just for the heck of it. Thanks for the idea.

I'll look around, I used to have a fleet of RM N/T 400s years ago, sold off all the bikes and parts but I keep bumping in to odds and ends, I just saw a couple of RM air boxes in a pile of miscellaneous parts but will check them to see if they may be what you seek.

Hi Peter,
Yeah, let me know.. I have a line on another RM400 parts bike, may just build another one as a backup.

Thanks
