Does anyone have a link to results? Photos?

Anyone here go? If so how about a report, please.

In a thread in Moto, TBTeam said he had a guy out there shooting photos/video, so hopefully he'll post something soon.

Sorry but I'm no pro rider or pro photographer
Surprised that Racer X or Vital has not given (yet) this some more exposure
It was a very cool event, J. Stanton was just ripping on the Maico, that bike sounded so crisp
Now I got the itch to find a nice old smoker and participate next year
Lesson learned : don't need $9k bike to have fun

Nope-- This was the first one. 5 of my racing buddies went and said it was very badass, but there were only about 120 total entries and most classes had 4-8 guys . Im thinking the reason for that was due to the fact that it was somewhat of a late announcement of the race and they had the Vintage dudes race on Tuesday probably didn't help. Next year they are hoping for 500 entries. Should turn into a Mid-Ohio/Unadilla Rewind/Diamond Dons kind of affair without too much difficulty

But you could very easily end up end up with a $9000 bike that is 50% used parts.

I thought the same thing. A proper restoration is usually not cheap.

Yep,

Already looking at a decent base but no matter what dealing with the unknown of buying old bikes, the parts $ climbs quickly, even assuming I'll do most of the work.
Today's market is just non sense, by lack of better words.

Seems two clean bikes, but one has been through 12 years of "abuse" vs 3 for the other one

I guess this one settles the discussion on value vs age

Need to pay the price to be different!

I was there and watched all of practice & most motos.

I was surprised that they ran 2 motos. Prolly due to the low turn out.

Observations, in no certain order:

This event will grow. No doubt. The track was primo. The competition not so much.

I would say that at best, 25% of the competitors that day were racing the track (I am being generous here). The rest were just riding it. I think fun was had by all.

Too many classes to pack into a day of racing, with practice, qualifiers & main events. Especially if forty riders try to qualify for the mains in each class. This was not an issue with the poor turn out of the inaugural event.

Should have got the word out earlier. Probably one reason for the low turn out.

I did not see, but I heard the bike show had some nice machines, and some roaches. Overheard peeps talking about drilled fenders & zip ties.

I watched Jeff Stanton in several motos. In a few races, he refused to put people a lap down while he was waxing the competition. Probably due to cutting the slowies race by one lap. Classy.

I will compete in 2020...

The number 16 Mugen and the number 16 YZ100 that Stanton rode are my bikes, as well as the number 26 1980 CR125 that is behind Jeff in the fourth pic. That's Eric Yarnell on that one. I was so pumped to have Jeff ride my bikes, but it was my daughter's spring break, so I was out of town. Damn!
