Last Night I got to work on a cool project. Throttle Jockey are 25 years in business this year so for Red Bud they are putting a display of replicas of some of the bikes that they have done graphics for since '92. They are using my 1992 RM250 which will be a Ronnie Tichenor Tuf replica and my 98 KX will become a splitfire bike from then by the weekend. They were working on a sick 2001 Jurassic Park Ezra Lusk replica last night also and by the weekend they will have some Pro Circuit Peak bikes and some 1-800-Collect era Hondas so it should be a pretty cool display. I will try and post pictures as I get them.

Throttle Jockey made them back in the day, that's why they wanted to build a replica, they will make them again for anybody that wants them.

That explains why Ceet did not want to make them, I was told by Mr. Tuf that Ceet made the kits they used....did they make you the red seat cover also?

No, I think Ceet actually made the seat cover, TJ only did the graphics but they are making one to go with the graphics that they will make now.

I have the MXA magazine that tested RT"s 92 SX bike....they did not take any color photos....they stated the bike was a mildly modified production bike, makes RT"s rides that much more impressive back then. I finished my 92 build, started it, and have done nothing with it since then....

I just read that article the other day when I was going through my old mags trying o find photos of the bike.

Would be nice if they got the seat cover color to match the red on the rest of the bike on the 95 Cr250!

Cool!! Are they going to be offering the seat cover for the Splitfire and Peak replicas??

|

Hard to tell, but that Splitfire bike looks non-flow and doesn't pop like it should. It looks weird, not having black wheels doesn't help it either.

I was thinking the same. Almost just like the evo remakes

No chrome on the plug either.

Pretty stellar Rory, nicely done.

No, because they didn't make those originally. Ceet made the Peak covers and MXA made the Splitfire ones. I hear that MXA is making the split fire ones again and I have seen some of the peak ones on ebay that someone has reproduced but I'm not sure if it was Ceet that redid them or not.

It's not flo- green, it's just my KX that I ride and race quite often. They needed a 94-98 KX and mine was there so they made the graphics to match the green on it as the frame isn't flo-green either and it would of looked ridiculous with flo-green graphics on regular green plastic. They understand that most people that ride and race their bikes probably wont have the flo plastic as it can be hard to come by so they can make either to suit a bike that runs and gets ridden or one that looks the part on a stand but never turns a wheel. As for the black rims, I have never been a fan of them so that's why my KX doesn't have them, if I was building a proper replica I suppose I would have to put them on there, but I'm not. The idea was for the Throttle Jockey guys to showcase some of the team graphics that they originally did as most people don't realize that it was them that made them back in the day and there is a lot of companies taking credit for it.

Thanks sir, but I didn't do too much just supplieed bikes and helped put some parts on, they did most of the work but the crowd that was in their display area all day seemed to love and appreciate the effort that was put in. Thanks for your help with the Suzuki.

Oh for sure we all saw the platinum pipe and the 250 with black backgrounds. I wasn't looking to cut down the bike for every little thing, and it does make sense to make both a flo and normal green version for buyers.

Personally I love TJ for all the work they did to help me with my Suzuki of Troy MC build.

I hate chrome and platinum pipes more than black rims, but I needed a pipe in a hurry and it was there and it has kinda stayed on there which is how things go sometimes, too many bikes I guess.

They are good guys that make a great product.
