Hi Guys

After taking a little break from my last mini bike RM80D 1983 restoration, I decided to start with the RM80C 1978 that I bought back in September of last year in Texas.
After disassembling the bike I started making a list of all parts on the need of restoration:
Fork tubes on the need for new hard chrome
Crank on the need for new rod kit
Shock shafts on the need for new hard chrome
The cylinder on the need for a new iron sleeve on std 49mm
All good existing hardware need to be zinc plated and clear blue chromate and whatever is damage will need to order it from Suzuki

Some pictures from when I got it

WOW! That is freaking perfect.
Do you have a kit your zinc plating with? I was just looking into some DIY plating kits.
I never done anything like it, care to share some info?

As usual, your work is perfect macolmedo. Out of all my bikes, my rm80b is probably my favorite and sits in the mancave. I had been searching for one for years.. and was lucky one day as one popped up on Ebay, and it was only 3000 kilometers away. I won the auction and got it sent home. I was very lucky as it was nearly entirely original. I didnt do the work you are doing on your C, but she still came out a treat. Original tyres, grips, piston, seat cover etc..
Good luck with yours and im looking forward to the progress...

Cheers,
