I had a '76 VA 360 and then a '77 VB 360. The VB 360 was my all time favorite bike, in hind sight.

The 414 is a nice bike. The only thing not original is the bars, side number plates & shocks. The cases have never been apart. Well, I did put a sparky on it for riding in the National Forest.

I've been thinking about your 400. It's a tough call to either sell, ride or just park it. I just decided to keep my 414 and ride it when I felt like it and just let it sit when I didn't. If I'd sold it, I would've just spent the money on another dirt bike. Or, worse, it would've been absorbed into the household budget.

Even in the late 70's the Maico dealers were around and Bultacos could be found easily as compared to Montesas. I've been told that Spain exported 75% of the Bultacos but only 25% of the Montesas. When I see a Montesa for sale it's always a 73/74 year model. NEVER see 76-78 250/360.

Ride It ! I always thought motocross bikes looked cooler with paint rub off the frame, pipe and cases.
