I'm gonna go check out the old bikes and hopefully see what kind of parts are floating around.

I'll be there trying to sell my 81' Maico 490 & my 14.5 KTM 450 FE.

Might have a few Maico parts too!

I understand they have screwed up the track entrance with a median in the roadway? Heading over Friday(planning on it anyway) with the motorhome.

hey Joe,......there is NO median at the entrance. The divided road way with median merges back into the regular two-way road at the circle track/drag strip entrance.
The good thing now is that the entrance to Rio now has a paved driveway turning off the road.

Joe,

Yes the entrance is blocked if you are coming from the beltway, just found out about last Friday!

You just need to go a few hundred yards past the entrance for a turn around.

Here is a photo of the track just three days after the flood from 10 days ago. Vernon does a great job of prep work and Rio can handle a little rain pretty good. I'm heading over Friday but not racing (shoulder not healed yet). Expecting a nice turnout again it appears from pre-entry and the RSVP list. Marty Smith is doing a clinic on Friday and will hang out the weekend...rumor is he is going to get on stage with the band...that's got to be worth the price of admission. The track owner said if you are coming from the east you will have to go past the track and U-Turn. There supposedly is a median of some sort now.
