I just finished my 1995 CR250 and I'm taking it to a Vintage MX race this Sunday. My friend owns Playground MX in Carthage, MO and he is hosting the race. He is the guy that got me back into MX and interested in CR's. He is letting me race his 83 CR480, so I'm pretty excited. Here are some pics of riding it last year before I got my 2002 CR250.

Are you sure 480? The bike in the pics is an 83 CR250. Cool pics, that was a great year for Big Red!!

Your right, those pics are the 250. He had an 85 CR125, 83 CR250, and 83 CR480. Here is the CR480.

'83 480 was one of the most fun bikes I ever had. That pic brings back some good memories. Smile

I've owned and raced an '81 Maico 490 and I'm a die hard Maico fan...

However- going against the grain and risking sacrilege for saying this-- I just loved my '83 CR-480 more than the 490.

It was a blast for vintage racing and it just always performed excellent for me and was always ultra reliable.

I ended keeping the 480 and I'm overdue to maybe get it back to a vintage race again soon.

Have fun!
