Getting the 465 and 400 backup bike ready was enough of a chore, but then the boy and wife wanted bikes. So I added a 125 and TT250 to the mix. Still a few small details but I think we are close!

When in doubt gas it! It may not cure the problem but it will end the suspense!

Nah, I'm not going to crash it LOL. I am actually going to pick up a running 1980 465 this week for $500 which I am really excited about. I rode the 81 465 and was keeping the revs too high which is where I like to ride. I am told the 1980 model likes that. So I will have the trifecta 79 400, 80 465, and 81 465 woohooo!

Very nice collection. There's just something about the front fenders on the late 70s/early 80s YZs that I've always thought was really cool.

Picked up the 80 465 and was given a lead to a guy selling a 78 YZ400 that just needs assembled. Fresh ported and polished motor, DG exhaust, rebuilt reservoir rear shock, 43mm forks, recovered seat, new plastic, blah blah blah. $700! I am going to have to convince the wife that I am buying it for her. Something like this.
"Honey look what I bought you to race so it will match mine"
(Her) "What am I supposed to do with that piece of s@#t!"
"Oh, I thought you would like it"
(Her) "Its in pieces you dumb@ss!"
"Gee, I guess I wasn't thinking, It's the thought that counts right?"
"Sorry, I guess I will just race it then and buy you a new pair of boots"
(Her) "Fine, but I want a pair of Old Gringos"
"Done!"
