The only person I would ever recommend is Tom Morgan Racing... (He has built us some wicked Yamaha and Kawasaki 125's) although I considered buying a 86 RM125 to race Evo MX this past winter, he and others talked me out of it as it was one of the most flawed cylinder/power valve designs ever to come out of Japan.

Good luck!

The bike is a 1 year design. The sad part was the bike was on stock bore until the idiot put the piston in backwards.

But they have bypassed the power valve all together.

The first of May is only a few weeks away....I highly doubt you will find a reputable engine or suspension guy ever that isn't going to be a couple weeks out.

Just wondering, how about a ported 81 and 85 RM125... What kind of power does it put out? Both are the Power Reed type induction. Think the 86 had the Power Reed too along with the powervalve... Eric Kehoe, Mark Barnett, George Holland, Danny Chandler, Brian Myerscough all rode the RM125s (Magoo with the Invader 125 that Eric Gorr was involved with). They had to be pretty strong especially in the 125 class...

I agree with you
Not to say Eric is bad. He isn't. Eric Gore knows his stuff
But I can't say enough good about Tom Morgan

You might give Dean @ R&D RACING a call considering he built many of the bikes for George, Brian and tons of other RM's.
