Hi fellaz! Bought this future beauty last summer. First of all, i did some assembly and cleaning to see of i can bring the bike to life.

After new plastics, liquids and small parts like brakepads, the bike fired right up!

Did some laps on the local tracks last summer..

And then i decided to take the bike apart en give it some freshness, with a throwback look!

Worn clutch, piston, sprockets etcetera

Was happy and forunate with the cylinder. Still looks good, so i decided to leave as it is. Just a new piston, bearrings and gaskets will do the job.

As we speak, im busy to put on some new throwback graphics and other stuff like linkbearrings and so forth. I will post some pics when the bike is finished!

Do you think the round 1980 front fender and number plate on there would go with your theme or look goofy? You have a clean bike and like where you are going with it

It looks great and if you really want to go the whole distance, consider painting the frame and/or engine electric blue. The '84 RM125 is one of the best looking bikes of that era due in part (IMHO) to the contrast from the yellow to the blue

I'm not sure about the old plastics and blue frame/engine thing. I've seen this (img below) RM the other day and was stoked about it, but i am still doubtful if it fits my RM. I was thinking of painting the rims and frame black. Well, anodizing and powder coating Smile .

I love that build, I think pete24 had a hand in it. Tempted to make one of my own (minus the conventional forks)

Thijssie, would you be able to post a photo of the number plate backgrounds? Thanks!

And slowtime, what do you mean? The only plate that is on at this moment, is the front one. There are no graphics or backgrounds whatsoever Smile

I assumed you bought the entire kit from zeronine and did not put the backgrounds on the number plates yet. I was curious as to how they look on a RM. Ive only seen that graphics kit on a RMZ.

carry on

Sadly, the kit does not include the backgrounds. Was thinking of just apply racenumbers

I pulled my clutch out and look at the inner hub and basket. Inner hub looks kinda worn out and bended?? Basket is cracked or something, i have not seen anything like this before. What do you guys think?

Your clutch parts are done...Get a new Wiseco or Hinson clutch basket. Unfortunately, Hinson no longer makes a pressure plate or inner hub for the '06. You can get the new OEM parts hard anodized to help them wear longer than the originals. Put all new OEM plates and springs in. You might try mixing 3 heavy duty springs as well, if you are a clutch abuser.

Hey HackMan, i know they are done unfortunately.. I would be interested to know what causes this issue, just wear and tear? Got myself new frictionplates, steelplates, springs already. Heading to the dealer for a new inner hub and basket Smile
