This is a new event for AHRMA, we are pleased to be able to hold an event in the " AHRMA Great Lake Region" that offers such an EPIC track, history, and facility. Spread the word, either Vintage / Post Vintage AHRMA, or support classes will provide you with a unique opportunity on one of the best track in the country. We hope that it will become one of the top tier events for vintage racers annually.

I understand from talking to Albert that there may be quite a few of your fellow Texan's heading to this event.
And at our age next year is only a maybe...........
1 Month to the AHRMA National at RED BUD
Also open the following day Monday Sept 4, for open riding, stay longer, bring modern bikes, kids, anybody who want to make a complete MX Weekend out of it.
Very Cool, I knew there was a vintage race at RED BUD, but didn't know the details, back in the AMA / AHRMA friendly days.
Think this will be the first solo AHRMA race at the BUD. So for most of us this will be OUR first. Whatever it is or was it will be THE place to be on Labor Day weekend.
Come out and defend that trophy.....
My racing days are long over, but Id love to if I could.
Back then we got to race on allot of great tracks with history.
Southwick, Red Bud, Unadilla, Honda Hills, Budds Creek, Muddy Creek, Hollister, Road Atlanta and Peoria just to name a few.
Glad I have the memories and 2 championships.
I would love to race this but no way can I justify only one moto a day for two days of racing
Edited Date/Time:
I only see one moto available at the AHMRA race for the vintage race bikes I own (86 KX250 & 85KX125)?
I've spun lots of laps at Red Bud on modern bikes and we usually hit at leat one practice day a year there if were not racing :-)
Your bikes fit in the Innovation Support Class. You would have opportunity to race multiple motos each day, but you would need to sign up for multiple classes to do so. You can either bump-up to race in the Transition Class or race in the appropriate Age Class in addition to Innovation. You do have to stay both days to be scored for the overall in both motos per class.
The alternative for your 85 KX125 would be to race in AHRMA Pre-Modern on Sunday only, two-motos, requires AHRMA membership. Weekend memberships are available. For 2017 this class is "Exhibition Only", meaning there are awards, but no National points. The Pre-Modern class is scheduled to be a full National Points Class in 2018.
green green green and more green!
Thanks for the detailed info... We'll see if we can squeeze this in (we race all the Midwest Vintage Series races we can)
We have lots of your Midwest Vintage guys at the AHRMA races, Rory, Old Don, Fast Bob and lots more, this will be a great event, and its great that AHRMA will have a "MAJOR" in the Midwest.
Know them all... Had great fun racing Bob last weekend in a couple of classes, hooting and hollering in the corners. Bob's wife Sharon got some great pictures :-)
Just 10 days until RED BUD, here are a few of the details
Gates open noon Friday.
Sign up and tech (AHRMA only) Friday beginning at 4pm
Steak dinner $20 Saturday night, buy tickets before racing Saturday.
Vintage bike display under the pavilion, plus MX/football on big screen

Main entry gate, all pits up top (no A or B lot)
No charge to camp Sunday night if you want to do open track day Monday
Same track configuration as Vet Fest, with vintage prep, hard smoother surface on Saturday for Vintage, and moderate dig/prep for Sunday Post Vintage.
Long range forecast calls for nice weather and maximum FUN................

I signed up but in the support classes, I don't have a bike older than 1980 so these classes fit me well. Two classes, one Moto a day in each.
Looking like a buddy and I are going to make it and are looking forward to the steak dinner on Saturday night ;-)
We paid the extra cost and ordered perfect weather this weekend.........
REDDDDDDDDDDDDDD BUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
but the $20 steak diner makes up for it, + BYOB
