I’ve been giving this some thought. I was thinking, if you applied a sticker on some color matched tyvek material (color matched to your plastic gas tank), then cut out the tyvek to match the shape of the sticker, then sprayed the tyvek with 3M spray glue, then applied the sticker/tyvek lamination to your tank, the problem of bubbling may be solved. The tyvek is permeable, so gas fumes could pass between the plastic of the tank and the bottom of the sticker, through the tyvek material. I’m going to try this and see how it goes. Any thoughts on this solution?
Back in 1977 and 78 my YZ factory decals were usually gone in the first 30 days.
