Just started a 1991 Cr125 Peak réplica, bought the bike in Madrid Spain for 500 dollars , owner had decided to spray EVERTHING Matt black! Actual saved a lot of parts from fatigue, was a real low hour bike. I will start with pics of original bike then upload as it comes together. Got some nice gold wheels, Ohlins shock , and some trick WP forks waiting to go in, along with mint PC pipe, need help with, blue plastics, and seat cover, any help greatly appreciated.

Cool. Nice to see another '91 125 on the boil.
I know peekfreak on here had a nightmare finding the correct blue plastics for his build.
I liked the idea of the Rob Herring or castrol replicas as alternatives for my build, but may go with something more factory for a colourscheme.

Frame looks great, and the condition of what you have to start with will hopefully make yours an easier build.
Best of luck with it.

Can't wait to see it all finished up. The Peak/Pro Circuit bike was one of my favorite bikes of all time. I remember MXA was running a sweepstakes to win MC's 91 CR. Had to mail it in snail mail. Still waiting to hear back if I won or not.

Got frame back today with all front end mods done, fitted new 2008 CRF complete front brake, all eléctrica done, will do water works tomorrow.

Aha! A resto-mod. Even better!

My '91 125 has a CRF250R front end in it.
Just a top bearing swap got it all together.

What did it take to install the WP's?

We used the clamps that came with forks, they were previously supposedly fitted to a kx, just had to machine a fraction of bottom of shaft, honed out the lower clamp slightly, and had to machine a bit of inside of brake mounting, steering stops were fine, welded a lug on frame to fit 2008 crf steering damper. I've got a crf front end here, what was involved in fitting that? As may fit them on another project bike, I've got a 1993 CR250 they would go well on.

all Balls racing sell a conversion bearing specific to the job, which allows you to use the CRF yokes.

I made up a steering stop extension, so that I can always trim it back off to return the frame to standard if I decide to go back to OE forks (I've had this bike 14 years now)

The front plate has to have the bottom end trimmed slightly to allow a suitable position to tap a thread into the front face of the top yoke.

I had to slightly enlarge the hole in the plate for the brake line guide to make everything neat.

The whole wheel/spindle/brake/fork setup is 2008 CRF250R.

I'd like to do both, but a blue tank would be impossible to find, unless there was an alloy tank on offer!!!
Got a nice white tank so going with white tank style .

My phone's messing about. But you can follow this link.
I worked out what I wanted, and found the bearing through a UK supplier.
When it arrived, it was an allballs bearing.

https://www.allballsracing.com/index.php/forkconversion

As you can see from the picture above, the outer race is really skinny. The inner portion of the bearing is standard however.
The bearing also comes with a shim to make up the additional depth required to suit the stem.

Fitted set of 08 CRF pegs, new gear lever and front sprocket.
Just waiting for swingarm bearing kit
So I can fit up the back end.

I'm impressed with how quickly this build is moving.

Did the CRF pegs drop straight in?
I put YZ250F pegs and springs in mine as I had some damaged WR ones on the shelf that fitted when offered up, and didn't want to gamble on crf pegs not fitting.

There's you waiting on bearings, and me waiting on a kick starter idle gear before we can move forward.
I hate waiting when you've built momentum.

The crf PEGS need a fair bit ow grinding
But its a 10 minute job, the yz PEGS near enough go straight in, and the Titanium ones are trick, but the best I had in the worshop were these, beggers cant be choosers!
Im going to elongate the clutch arm by 5mm
To lighten up the pull, this is a guess point,
Anyone know the best length to add to keep nice feel on the lever?
I've got 6 other projects on the go so will move to my JMB 1990 cr125 job until the
Bearings come

I've got an easy pull clutch lever to go in. The hole in the lever for the cable nipple is nearer the pivot, which alters the lever ratio.
Gotta be easier than chopping the lever the other end. There may not be sufficient clearance to the ignition cover either, as it already has a bulge there to provide clearance.

I've got some spare time so am going to
Try the longer arm option, I'm having HONDA RACING CNC machined ignition covers made now that are going to be deeper thank standard, with recess cut out for gasket so will have a good seal.
Once I know what length the arm needs
To be we will finish off the covers too,

update, I decided to stick with the original spec 91 cr125, as the search for the peak
parts is just too difficult!

I had the ignition cover made which allows for the clutch actuator arm to be 5mm longer
this give the clutch a nice light pull, and looks trick.
Ive had 20 made, so if anyone is interested, I can supply them no problem.. 110.00 euros.

will take pics of finished bike next week
