I have a line on a 89 yz 125 with 20 hrs (Garage Find) for $500, I did a little work on it for the guy and prep it for storage. I replaced the clutch and know these have clutch cover FLEX issues. Is there anything else I need to know or some tips on how to find a good replacement cover for this model? Can I use a aftermarket cover or is stock the only way to go?

Have to pick up the bike Wednesday, will post some pictures. I'm just surprised that such a low hr bike would have this problem, but I guess it could be a time thing. Thanks for any information guys.

I think the '91 and '92 covers will fit. They are aluminum and solve the problem.

Are the fork uppers red? If so, they're from a 1990 (and the bike could be a ‘90 too).

That looks like a 90 to me the graphics seat cover the faded red on the fork tubes.
