Last 1995 CR250 pictures, promise! I got the bike back today from 718, a former low-3 digit national rider who rode for a satellite team in the 90s. 718 builds bikes for a living, and can be reached via PM. Every coating you see was applied by him and he built the suspension, motor & brakes. In fact, virtually every single part on the bike was modded, machined, adjusted, fixed or updated. Let me know what you think.

Hi Barkhard696.

That bike looks great! Its good to see a Henry replica. I bet that seat was hard to come across. Don't feel bad about posting pics of your bikes!!! I love seeing what other people are building!

I got the motor back together now and slowing building the bike back up, hear are a few pictures

Also I'm chasing a few items that I'm having trouble finding, if anyone has anything or can point me in the right direction that would be great!!! Thanks

works connection frame guards,
NOS or very good condition radiator fins,
works style front disc,
AMA tech sticker
fabric renthal bar pad,

I know a few of these items are really hard to come by but it can't hurt to ask.

Thanks

Thanks banana_oil. But I think the red dot means they are out of stock. It's been like this for awhile so so I'm guessing factory connection isn't making them any more? Correct me if I'm wrong but, I hope I am!! Haha

Works Connection originally stopped production a number of years ago. I was one of the ones who bought a set when WC did a re-run about 18-20 months back.

I talked with the Works Connection folks when I placed my order. They said that they had had so many requests for the frame guards, they decided to run another batch. (I'm sure Col's take-no-prisioners '96 build and the '93 CR250 project that Dogger315 did on ATM must have stimulated a lot of the interest!) I believe they did about 50 sets.

So if enough people continue to ask, WC will do a run. That's why they still show the guards on their site, even if out of stock.

When the WC were out of production, I tried a number of other guards that would show up on eBay from time-to-time. The Devol guards are almost perfect copies of the HRC guards-- except my set interfered with the kickstarter! There's a Euro brand ("Apico"?) you can see mounted on my '93 in my avatar. Not much resemblance to the factory, although these at least clear the kicker.

Before WC did the re-run, they took folk's names and CC number, when enough had "voted," they made a batch. Otherwise keep an eye out for bikes up for sale, if the bike has a set already mounted, don't be afraid to ask if the owner will sell the guards seperate from the bike. The used ones sold by recyclers are usually pretty roached.

For the AMA sticker. Try www.fastguystuff.com
If you can show them what you want, I believe they,ll be able to make it. They have come through for me many times.

Your '95 looks killer, Barkhard. The bar mounts look a bit too tall, though. Just my humble opinion (not that anyone cares).

I should have added I bought the helmet and jersey off a guy in USA and got them sent to AUS. The helmet has already been signed by McGrath and hopefully I can get him to sign the jersey at Las Vegas in a few weeks.

The photos aren't the best, I only took them with my phone.

Im nearly done now, just got a few things to finish off. I use the term "replica" loosely cause I know its far from the standard of some other builds on here but I'm happy with it considering my budget.

Thanks Kidkawie, it was painful at the time but I'm happy with it in the end.

Wow!! Its really come out nicely!! Was that a Clarke tank next to the oem tank a few pics above?
LoL on Emig view Smile
I ordered a tecnosel seat cover - $140 and had to pay $100 to ship it to South Africa... OUCH! Hoping I can somehow get the tecnosel bit off.
Also, I sent my airbox in for a real carbon skin, I thought the 3M is also a replica of his airbox graphic so Id go one up Smile

Well done on the build bud, it looks great!!

Thanks Justin, there is a couple of little things I want to change but.

Can you please post some pics of the seat cover when it arrives?

Yes that was the Clarke tank beside the genuine tank, the genuine tank has some pretty bad fuel staining, im really glad I paid the money for a new tank, even if it wasn't genuine I think it turned out ok.
