Was at Milestone Mx Park in Riverside Ca. on 2-17-13 for the Marty Tripes Vintage Works Revenge Series. The bikes were really unique and the riders had a lot of work and money invested in them. The bikes were really fast. The Pros had there own moto. Some of the bikes bizarre like the Maico with a RM100 engine.

Maico has a Suzuki RM100 swingarm. I think they were steel.

Look closely at the frame, seat, rear hub, side panels, pegs and brake pedal ---- it's very cool, but it's really an RM100 with a Maico tank, fork, front wheel and some Maico stickers.

The pro class is f'n awesome. At Diamond Don's vintage race here in Texas, Guy Cooper was railing the shit out of one. The 82-83 YZ100's seem to be the "go to" bike. This 1980 CR125 /100 conversion / Tripes RC replica was sooooo trick. I kept migrating back to it to drool.

There was a 1974 CR100M Elsinore in the Mix. Former GP Roadrace World Champion Eddie Lawson was riding a modern YZ250 in the Modern class #21.

I would like to get a hold of the rider of the #48 Elsinore. I have been looking for a Fox arm like that.
Thanks

Actually it is a Thor swing arm but that's cool because Fox sold his with their decals on it.

Thanks but the Thor arms being reproduced by VMX are different than the ones sold by Fox in the '70's. The pivot bracing is different and the shock mount on the VMX arm is not as close to the axel. I think the one on #48 looks like the original Fox. If the pivot boxed in area is curved rather than square it is. Would like to buy one of the original Fox arms.

Yeah, the originals are rounded in the reinforced front section and shock positions varied.

Richard Thorwaldson was the manufactor back in the day but when he moved from SoCal to Nevada and bought Big Valley Honda he stopped making the swingarms, and passed away roadracing RIP Rich.

The track seemed like it was in a gravel pit from long ago because there were old stable like structures around.

This is the first time in 30 years I have been through Riverside. Finally saw that lousy shopping mall that replaced Riverside International Raceway where my Dad would take me to watch the Sports Car Racing in the late 1960's to early 1970's.

Wish I could take a wrecking ball to the mall....but that is another story.
