Later reed assembly in a '78 YZ400?

Anyone ever locate a later model reed cage that will fit a '78 YZ400E? I'm hoping there is a Vforce reed assembly I can drop in my bike, but so far I'm striking out. I know Yamaha is good about re-purposing assemblies from older models on newer machines, but I can't seem to locate anything using parts diagrams etc.. Anyone on here ever do this? I was hoping there is a later model 125 or snow mobile version that might slide in there.

Contact VForce directly. I have heard from people on vintage message boards that they are pretty good about matching up their product for older bikes. I have one on my YZ465. You are only needing to match up the bolt pattern on the intake boot.

Thanks for the input- I'll give Vforce a call now that I know there's one that will work. Looks like the 465 has the same bolt pattern.
