Hey Hey,
first of all, im from Germany so please dont be rude if my english isnt perfect :D
Few days ago I bought what I thought were the remains of a KX500. I paid about 350$ for Frame, Swingarm, Fueltank, Seat, Forks, Plastics, Wheels and Triple Clamps. In Germany thats a bargain! The Guy sold all parts as KX500, but I wasnt able to see the frame Number when I bought it. Today I found out that the frame is a 1989 KX250 Frame. Now Im planning to put a KX500 engine in the KX250 frame. Does anyone know if thats possible and if KX500 and KX250 share frames/Chassis? If so, can I use all other parts like Airbox, Swingarm, Linkage and Shock off of the 250?
Thanks in advance and greets from Germany!

The KX500 motor is a direct bolt into a 1989 KX250 frame. I also know that the sub frames are the same as well.
Also, if you're interested in selling the fueltank you bought, please let me know.
Good luck and cheers from The States!
Thanks for your reply! Thats what I wanted to hear. I could imagine that all other parts fit as welll and kx250 and kx500 are the same bikes except for the engine. Can someone confirm that?
Production parts against full works bikes.
He led most of the way only to be passed on the last lap and finished finish 3rd .
