Facing a dilemma here. Just finished up the build of my 89 CR250 a few weeks ago and now I don’t think I’ll ride it much. It’s not a 10/10 restoration but I think it’s too nice for me to destroy on the brutal sand tracks here in the north east. I’ll be vet class eligible next year and am debating selling the CR and grabbing a new YZ to race more. I honestly don’t see myself riding the Cr much unless it’s absolutely 100% conditions and all the stars align. Maybe I should pass it to someone who is a dedicated vintage racer. What do y’all think, keep or sell? I see these on east coast vintage for $3500-$3600, and I know it’s only worth what someone will pay and I’ll never get my money back, but if I could get somewhere near that I’d be tempted to sell her.

I love the 89's and like you said, you will never get back what you put into it. Just a labor of love, I personally would keep it if at all possible as you will be bummed a few years down the road after getting rid of her.
Agree with last poster.... your price is in the Ballpark. You have a Nice '89 CR250 there. It will sell to the right buyer. I wish I could buy it, but I have too many bikes (well according to the boss) now (5). Keep it if someone doesn't meet your price. Good luck!

Will make a good deal for a vital member!
