Hey guys,
Im wondering if anyone can help me out with shim stack settings. I would like to know the stock shim stacks (base/mid/rebound) for the forks and shock on an 2001/02 KX250. I've found the base valve on the web but still need the rest.
My 97 kx250 has stock springs (0.40/4.8kg) and valving which is just too soft for my weight 88kg (without gear). So i have ordered 0.44/5.2kg springs which are close to the 01/02 kx250 stock setup. So i would like to set my valving up the same or very similar to that as ive read that it had good plushness but still resisted bottoming quite well. I will be riding this bike on MX tracks only, so i think it should be a good baseline to go with.
Kidkawie, i think you've messed around with suspension and have an 02 kx too, do you know what the settings are?
cheers,
Matt.
