One of the last times I saw him was at a 125 National in 1976. I was gated next to him on a factory Suzuki. Right before the 30 sec board came out, I noticed his front tire was flat. I pointed it out to him and they held up the race for him to have it changed.

He really flew at Saddleback in 1975 on those Norm Reeves 250 Bultacos. I am curious to hear what happened.

Jeff is alive and well. I saw him last Christmas. Hadn't seen him in years but we were laughing and joking and remembering old stories like they were yesterday. Old friendships are like that.

Nope. Just an old friend. His folks are still in Norwalk, so when I was home for the holidays last Christmas I stopped by, had a good visit with Marshall who invited me to come by later when Jeff was going to be around. A good visit, some good laughs.

Nice. It's always fun to reminisce. Great people too.

Did you ever catch-up with Jeff?

Hey Wes, your dad on the 1st PC Catalog cover. Fun times back then... your dad (and the PC crew) took me under their wings as a kid. I was honored to be part of the group back then as a PC rider. Tell him Ernie Becker says "hi"

I remember a race I attended long ago and Jeff Jennings had gear that looked great. The old red/yellow/red combination. My favorite. Electro helmet if I'm right. I wanna say he was riding for Moto X Fox Suzuki or FMF maybe but I cant remember. But his gear matched the bike. It was '77 or '78.

JJ wore JT gear during his 1976-77 stint with Suzuki. He wore Bell helmets, usually painted up in red/yellow/with a bit of blue, though in this 1976 Saddleback TransAm 250cc support class shot (#364), he's wearing a plain-wrap white Bell.

The quality of this video is very poor, but in the first few second you can see your dad wiping down his bike and he can be seen in a couple of seconds of racing action.

I liked watching him race. He was a local hero. Always in a cool helmet, jersey etc. I copied that look.
