I got this dirt bike frame from a friend. Says made in Italy. Appears to be an older 2 shock frame. Does anyone recognize the frame and make of bike it is for?

I’d take a guess at that being a Harley MX frame...

That’s what I was thinking do to the aeramacchi Thing back then but I don’t remember a sticker on the neck, just the Italian sticker on the back fenders.

Doesn't look remotely close to the prototype or production Harley to me.

I agree. It’s not a big frame. Probably from a smaller CC bike.

The 2 stars in the serial number tell me its a Aermacchi harley, not mx.

Does this frame resemble any of those frames. Still can’t identify it.

My Indian Boy Racer has the stars also. It was made in Italy. Looking at that frame, it could be a small bore Indian , maybe for a Minarelli engine. Still using press in bearing cups / loose ball set up. My little bike used them as well.

Don’t see Indian boy racers very often, more like never. Like to have one of those.

Long story, but this was my second bike ever. Got it new in '69, lost in family strife for 14 years, reunited with it in '83. It was like new the last time I rode it in '71. The way I got it back, and my best amateur resto I could manage.

Wow, you did a great job. Very hard to find bike. I’m Jelious. All I have is an Italian frame from appearently not a very well known bike. Might not even be of for all I know.

It is 1975 or older and for a 125 or smaller engine.

That’s great information. Narrows it down to dozens of possibilities. May never identify it until after it’s in the land fill and then it will be something worth keeping.?

yup, that's certainly better than 100's of possibilities.
