I saw an factory fresh KX125 like mine on Instagram and began talking to the guy from Indonesia that built it
He apparently is unbelievably talented
Parts are tough to get in Indonesia so he just makes his own. Check this tank he made of fiberglass and swing arm he made for his 79 CR250. And visors for the old JT helmet.
He can recreate anything as long as he has something to go off of. I'm impressed.
I having him make me a carbon fiber airbox cover for my bike. His prices seem right there with anyone

Update: thanks Kevin for highlighting my work, actually i want to build my 480 CR twin shock inspired by Phil denton/ stevie denton (From UK) build.

But the problem is, its quite hard to find vmx parts in here (i am from Indonesia, if you dont know Indonesia, its in South East Asia). and our government restrict the import of used part.

First thing first, so, i spend 5 months to find Gastank, and sidecover. Fortunately i got 1 unit bike with engine, gastank, and sidecover that installed kawasaki KX frame.

UPDATE PROGGRESS

I was thinking to change my aluminium gastank to some stronger and easy material, so i decided to reproduct the tank using resin and fiberglass. Here are the process















Starting the mould



The molding process took 1 day, using kerb of cardboard and glue, then leave it for 2 days to dry, and the result is:

Update Developing Swingarm 1

I was trying to buy 79 swing arm from ebay, get good things on it and ask my friend about import thing and Whoops, got a bad news. Indonesia Govt, restricted import used parts(anything) from overseas, damn!.

Luckily have friend from new jersey and argentina that have stock swing arm. i ask him to measure the size end to end, from front hole until adjuster

Update Developing Swingarm 3

Whats the meaning of life? the answer is 42(this is meaningless word LOL). Ok guys lets start developing the swing arm, starting from rear side of swing arm, using 9mm metal plate im start to drilling a hole and make a shape for it





For arm tube, i use holo tube 2.5mm thickness 30mm width and 50mm width
