I had one on my 1986 YZ 125 way back in the day. I'd say its pretty rare; I have never seen another one, anywhere.

Rare for sure! Not worth a fortune as a limited market and Pro Circuit is still making the the most desireable pipe of the day... Answer probably sold a 1,000 accutrax to one pipe. The answer silencers come up for sale pretty regularly.
Bigger question is who made it for them???

BTW, I put a new Slow Circut pipe on my 87 and took it right off , it was terrible, my used FMF pipe was far superior

I thought it was the R&D pipe guy made them... I'm sure I can find out with a quick phone call.

I just listed it on eBay for 99.99, might as well sell it to a Vintage MX guy

So in all my Cagiva research and building I found a bit of pipe information. Cagiva sold aftermarket pipes through their accessory line in 84. They were designed/tested by Terry Varner. I talked to Terry last year about who built the pipes for them and it was a company in SoCal called Power Pros. It turned out they built a large chunk of other brands mx exhausts in the 80s. I'd bet there's a good chance they built the Answer Pipes.

Got one on a 1985 CR250% sitting in my garage right now, fresh from the snowbank, been tarped over for 7 years after the original owner stored it in early 90's, rode it hard and put away wet -ha

BTW, looking for a silencer for this pipe, I have the expansion chamber and the intermediate pipe too., Rusted up on the outside but solid, just one knock on the bottom of the fatty, can't really see it. good for a facelift.

Anyone know where a Answer silencer might be found?
thanks

Pretty rare from what can gather. My 85 250 also has one. And I’ve heard the same. Terry Varner.. etc.
