So, i was working at a clients house yesterday and he had a pretty nice Honda in his garage, i asked him about it and he was willing to sell.
Didnt take any pictures but it looked like this, are they rare? Been sitting for a decade or something so the aluminium was kinda spotty on the rims and such.
Cant find any for sale in sweden and im picking this one up wednesday for 600$, im buying it for my dads birthday as a present.

They weren't hugely popular in the states but not rare. They were heavy and underpowered but very reliable.
If the one you found is anywhere near the condition of the photo, you got a great deal.

Yes they are a bit "rare" these days, meaning that they are hard to find, but this doesn't mean they are "collectible" or "special".

When I was about 10 or 11 years old my Dad had a 1980 XI 185. I would back the preload all the way out on the rear shocks so it would squat way down in the rear. With the help of a milk crate, I climbed on board and proceeded to tear the ass out of our trails in the backyard, the finest memories of my youth.
THERE IS NO SECOND MOTO IN LIFE!

Found some sales history from this year, other xl250’s has been sold for 1200-6000$, so hopefully im getting this as a bargain
