Honda CB350 gaskets??

I just replaced the clutch discs and springs on my CB350 and the there was no gasket on the right side engine case to gain access to the clutch, just some RTV sealer which appeared to work fine since it didn’t have any leaks. However i noticed a small oil leak on the other side of the case so when I too it off instead of finding just sealer it had a gasket which had failed.

My question is my right side case suppose to have a gasket? I see them for sale online and Conservatively I’ve also read that some people don’t runs gaskets at all on old Honda CB’s and just use Honda-bond instead.

Any input would be appreciated.

yes they had gaskets and i use them. they also had timing chain guide and roller updates as a warranty depending on what year it is, so you might think about putting new guides in if it is original.
