That's very sad. They did great work on my Honda. Made it all pretty again.

I found that same Evo-MX updating posting saturday evening. DC plastic is advertising a slew of Evo-MX graphics. I contacted them and asked them if they had Evo-MX '91 cr125 shroud graphics in stock and they did. They also said they are aware of the honda situation with Evo.

You'd think a company would be pleased that people are still racing/using their bikes decades later. It's some dipshit bean counter that couldn't tell a 2 stroke from a 4 stroke...F Honda

Thanks Scottie_b, I was unaware that DC Plastics was carrying EVO-MX graphics! I guess I better buy them before they're gone... and then sell my Hondas, lol

I bet Throttle Jockey is pumped about this.

Now if only TJ would offer all of the OEM replica graphics and seat covers that Evo MX offered.

I thought that they must have had permission to use Honda's various trademarks / emblems etc. . They've been using them for quite a long time, it seems.

Turns out, they didn't ??

Use someone's Trademarks, Name / graphics, etc, you should get permission, it's as simple as that. I nailed a company and some individuals for such a thing a few years ago.

But, to leave it to go on for , what appears to be many, many years, is a bit strange.

Perhaps Honda are taking a leaf out of HD"s and others 'books' , and starting to crack down on , what they would regard as 'pirates' of their name and various trademarks, emblems etc. It certainly seems to quite a side industry / earner for many. Not just the 'pirates, but the pirated.

If Honda, and others, are not going to produce their original decals, then they should be proud that someone else is! Its free advertisement for them.

Exactly... it's not like I can order a set of OEM graphics for my freaking 86 CR!!!

Very sad. EVO MX makes the best stuff on the market. The manufacturers are never going to offer old bike graphics again.

Sad

If someone at Honda was on the ball they would offer some sort of contract to quality companies allowing the use of their names while giving themselves some protection such as maybe limiting the age of bikes that reproductions can be made to fit or something. Maybe a small licencing fee that would allow them to review the decision every few years. These restorations are hard enough without these kind of issues.

Throttle Jockey has a licensing deal with Honda. Would be cool if they could start producing all this stuff.
