I'm pretty sure I pitted next to him at Walnut this summer. He was a pretty nice guy if I remember. I remember his buddy telling me he was pretty fast

I raced byron one time. NMA qualifier in 76 or 77. That was my favorite track when I was a kid. I always wanted to go back there. Well we moved to california from missouri in 78.. I moved back to MO last year and I am gonna go ride some of the nuclear series races this year and see if its as fun as I remember some 30yrs later...

Yeah...Alvin was a good guy...He raced for me when I was the manager of NSR...That was probably around 89...

Good to hear he is racing again...

If you have any more Dist 17 pics I would love to see them...Anybody remember Harding MX Park?...

All the sawdust is gone and it's hardpack now. Not the whoop fest it once was. Still follows the same basic layout.

I remember Harding with the corn cobbs in the back section and the deep forming rut in the switchbacks. That place was a pain to get into because of the river crossing you had to traverse to get to the track.

Yup...The river crossing...It sucked up my Dad's 77 Thunderbird one Sunday when he came to watch me race...They had to pull it out with the tractor...I felt awful for him...
