No but from those that did I heard nothing but fun. Its gaining momentum and here this year will be even better. I'm trying to make it happen.

I didn't race,,but supplied my 83 RM250 to a fellow who raced it. The turn-out was excellent. The track was well layed out for the bikes,,everyone had fun,,several old pros out there mixing it up and taking time for photos. It was neat for me just be on pit row ,in a nascar garage with all the history doing some wrenching.

I didn’t race it but stayed another day and watched it. It was a cool event, I thought it was a low turnout though got me motivated to do it this year! Now if I can just get my bike running in time!

some pics I took last year in that thread
https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Old-School-Moto,22/Vintage-at-Daytona,13…

it was a cool event, under the radar but I hope with more exposure this year

I want to do it and looking for a bike to rent because it seems everything that's vintage MX era seems to reach stupid $$$
looking for a 125 or 250 late 89 up to mid 90 and prices are ridiculous.

Ya I bought a whooped out 96’ cr 250 for more than I should have but somehow this high school kid on a farm in the middle of Michigan that seemed to know nothing of Mx racing was Hip to the fact that the bike was a “classic”. Ended up being a fun costly project but I built it for VMX days at mid Ohio and couldn’t be happier. I was just a little kid when McGrath was winning on these things but I’m old enough to remember how packed the local gates were and how big the sport used to be or seemed to be. It’s just cool man I hope more events pop up.

Yeah, those were the days! If you attend any current vintage or vet race the 50+ classes have the fullest gates. I guess we are still carrying the mx torch!
