Progress over the last few weeks

Lots of help and encouragement over the years from Newwman and TyDog, Kenny especially kind in some part swaps. Bits from PDE, HollyEquip (the pipe, impressive fit), and even the old Jastco company. Been good to spin wrenches.

That's a beaut!! Hardware largely OEM from stock or if NLA where I can find it, a lot on Ebay. I did find a site that had some rare NOS consumables that I picked up, like the rubber strap at the rear of the tank. Other bits from Holly Equipment, PDE and the old John Astleford Co. It's going to take a long time to sell of the spares.

Need some tweaking on the PDE roller lower as the original Fox arm with the 17.75s drops down too far to leave enough room for chain, but it is beautiful and I want to keep it on the bike

Ready to buy another Fox arm anytime anyone is scratching an itch to sell, mines got some tattered bits. Pretty scarce, even scarcer than that gold rear sun rim, which is a unique single model version unlike a lot of the Sun rims that cross models and OEMs. I owe Kenny one still I think, but my memory is going.

Thanks all! Like I said, it's more a build than a restore, and there are some cobby spots that would get worked out over time. But to be honest, there was a bit of perfect getting in the way of good and getting stalled, especially in the paralysis of using NOS bits. I was stuck at the carb, and Stevie's comments on the ease and performance using an airstryker on this model was the tipping point and I went who cares if its not pure. So I just resolved to build it out and not worry too much about that stuff; like, once tricky stuff went on it wasn't coming off again, lol. It'll shine for a bit but no one would have a heart attack that taking it for a lap will wear the prom queen off.
