Looking for best cost effective options to refurb wheels please?

Im thinking of buying new Gold rims (not sure of make yet) from new mx bike (existing are corroded inside rim), new spokes and restoring the existing hubs.

If I do the above, I need a locate another front wheel hub and spindle. If anyone else has for sale or could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful?

Anyone have any other suggestions or ideas?

Thanks

I have used FasterUSA for a number of different wheel sets from two (89) Honda CR’s, a (92) RM-250 and a 2018 YZ-125. The wheels all turned out great with all new bearings, spokes, nipples and gold excel rims, a few sets also had the hubs that we removed the casting marks on cerakoted by them.

Thanks for replies. Pics look great 👌🏼. I should have said in my post that I am based in Uk.

Dubya. Good folks with excellent customer service. Josh hooked me up. Here is my convex-hub (2 piece) mated to an Excel. Dubya even arranged the hydro-blasting and cerakote for the hub. 🏁👈

Lovely pics. What do you all think looks the best the Gloss Gold or Matt Gold?

That's outstanding. I'm sending mine off to Dubya in next 2 weeks or so. I have a 87 cr500 and going with gold excel. Getting my hubs refurbished, new spokes as well. I just got the bike 6 weeks ago. It's a bit beat up.

How did you get your forks so clean and polished? Mine are a bit corroded with some scratches. Not terrible though. I'm ditching the fork gaiters as well. I never liked them even in the day. I need my swingarm cleaned and polished also.

Thanks! I sanded the fork sliders by hand. I wanted a clean look---but not over-restored, as it is a racer. I did the same thing with my swingarm. Good luck with your build---and keep us posted!

I think we have a 91 spindle on the shelf. Plus we can supply rims, have you hubs refurbished, and have you wheels built.

Thanks StevieD113. Let me know if you have a 91 spindle. Going to refurb my existing hubs and get new rims and spokes. The existing rims have 36 spokes and the other has 32 spokes. Is this likely to cause a problem in sourcing the correct rims?
