Anyone remember 'Stormin' Home' tv movie?

I was in the movie, I was in high school at the time and they got me to play a street racer with my 1969 GTO Judge.

My mom found a Fuji Beta L-750 video cassette several years ago with the title of the movie on it and the title written on the box for it.

I know she recorded it and I watched it on tape at least once, so I am betting that is what is on it.

Long story short, I might have a copy but who even has a Beta player anymore?

Could this guy you speak of do a Beta conversion?

You should be able to find a shop that will do it. Look under "Video Tape Duplicating and Transfer" in the yellow pages. There are several places that will do it where I live. I just had a couple of old Beta tapes transferred to DVD by one of these guys and they turned out great. They charged me $15 per tape. Shop around, the price varied here between $15 and $35 per tape.

Ok I'm off work a couple of days next week. I'm going to find this dam VHS tape and yes it could be stashed with some old porn vhs who knows. If I can find it then I'm sending it to Barkhard to have remastered to dvd.

I was just talking about this movie the other day!! I remember it vividly. I will look for my copy too since I recorded it off TV. It will be crappy quality if I can find it (who remembers SLP mode? Gotta fit 6 hours on that tape!).

Congrats on the 08 CRF 450. Yea Cam is a good dude and all his bikes are clean. I will look for the tape this coming week and let you know what I find.

80 bucks to get started and looking at 120 to 160 to get it done...my motivation is not like it was. It appears that I do have the thing on Beta but not sure I want to spend that much.

Superstock, its a stretch for me but I'll pay it. Call me at X or work XX. My office is next to the Exxon world headquarters in The Woodlands so I get zero (as in, literally, no) cell reception during the day due to the continuing construction. Alternatively if someone has it on VHS, I can easily transfer to DVD and I'll pay the shipping. Let's get this thing done.

I left the tape with the guy today after I posted, I don't know what the damage is going to be.


Funny thing, my Mom put a Dallas Morning News article she cut out of the paper with a review of the movie in the slip case. I need to scan it.

I think we could probably get Gil Gerard to personally come to each of our houses and "act out" the entire movie for $160 lol. God, I hope this movie gets seen again!

Superstock and I texted about it, we are good to go. This is a big bucket list thing for me, 30 years I've wanted to see this. FINALLY getting to watch it will be a kick for me, and in a major way, no matter how bad the movie actually is.

See if you can get a good look at the expansion chamber on that bike. If it makes enough torque to break a transmission then I need one for my kx.

It seems fair that if he and I are splitting the bill, I get a copy and Superstock gets a copy. I don't have plans to upload. I can't speak for him, obviously.

However if someone besides us two would like to contribute, not only would that be wonderful but most welcome!

I surely want to see this as you have, for many years now. Heck I was just a super nerdy teenager when this flick came out. (I never outgrew being a nerd.)

Just my .02, IMHO reaching out to him (or me) with an offer to chip in would 100% be in the spirit of us all working together, and that would be too cool.
