I remember reading a few years ago that Suzuki was going to start reproducing some parts for their older models....1. Is this true? What is the status/ models covered
2. If I give you a part #, can you run it to see if the part may be sitting on a dealer shelf somewhere

the 87 and 88 are different cylinders
the power valves are a different size
I think you could be able to use an 88 one, but you will need the 2 valves and 2 guides for that 88 cylinder too
Like I told you if you use an 88 cylinder you will need the 88 valves, the 87 ones will be smaller than the 88 ones
Also, the upper part of the rod size is different on both years so the piston, wrist pin, and small bearing will be different too.
If you sleeving in it, you could send it to millennium to actually Nykasil the std bore to preserve it forever
I am at 55mm on mine 87 RM125 and I will send it to them to preserve that bore and just change piston and rings
