Let's get a thread started honouring all the young Americans who came over to chase Grand Prix glory in the 70's, 80's 90's. Guys like Brad Lackey, Jim Pomeroy, Danny Laporte, Donny Schmidt, Trampas Parker, Billy Liles, Bobby Moore, Danny Magoo Chandler, Jim Gibson etc.
Please post up photo's, stories and your recollections of these great riders were our heroes long before Supercross only contracts came about!

Bader Manneh.
Marty Moates, I remember he came to the British GP in '77 on the KSI.
They used to have 2 x's 45 mins free practice on Saturdays to dial the bikes in.
Marty did both sessions full bore for the full 45 mins , we couldn't believe it !!
Pit Row
Chuck Sun did the '78 250 World's on a Husky. I have an old pic of him on it in a '79 MXA as clear as day in my minds eye but the mag is back at my folks in England :-(
Ryan Hughes on Pamo with Fred Bolley and Mark Jones ( a WelshMan !! ) as team mates.
My dad Stu Peters (right) in England with his buddy Kelvin Franks (middle) in the 60's racing Motocross.
