I have just got my 97 kx250 together after a rebuild. with a few jobs left to do. however the power feels completely different to my 2001 rm250. where the rm has really strong mid=upper power the kx is the opposite. lots of linear power offthe bottom up to mid but the top end power is quite lacking. the rm has a hgs pipe/shorty silencer, vforce. the kx is completey stock.the pipehas a few dings in it so im going to get a new pipe for it. my question iswhat pipe would work best to gain some over rev and a little more top end power? idont want a chrome pipe. any suggestions?

I ran the PC pipe last year, never ran the stock pipe so I cant compare it to that. It seemed to have enough top end though, but the 97 KX's were always low - mid engines. A lot of people say that the PC pipes just move the power up in the rev range. Im trying a FMF fatty next weekend, meant to be a good overall pipe. I can let you know how it goes, but there all chrome pipes however.

PC Works pipe moves the power up top. Like Matt said, the engines are low-mid naturally.
