Did score this yesterday evening, 1996 CR250R, Runs good (gas old gas in it!), changes gears like a dream, plastics sund, Pro Circiut exhaust, new rear brake rotor, ok chain and sprockets (chain very dry but not rusty). Tires shoot (rear totally bald!), rear wheel missing 2 spokes, rear suspension linkage has a little play in it. Susupension othervise seem ok, as brakes. I paid a grand for it.

I´m looking into making this a owerall tool, MX + Enduro, so Intrested to get info on the CRE250 bikes Kevin Hines Company did sell in the mid 90´s. Don´t know if he modified them himself or imported them from somewhere?

So for now my plan is to change the the tires, I have a good 18" rear wheel for it that I plan to use. flush the tank, clean the crarb, fresh (new oiled clean) air filter in and change the suspention linkage.

Handguards are high on the list also, UFO makes a nice set for the 97-03, wounder if anyone has made a set fit a 96?

Would like to get light coil for it to....

Nice looking bike! CR's make good woods bikes.
UFO makes a similar rear fender in their vintage plastic collection and a Elba headlight shouldn't be too hard to find.
Probably be easiest to swap out the stock stator for a aftermarket unit with a lighting coil from electrex or someone.
