I've been speaking to Nick at Throttle Jockey about a Mcgrath Kit for my new to me 95. He has been trying to do this kit, graphics and seat cover but needs to borrow a seat with some marks to get the alignment right where the airbox graphics meet the seat. Mine won't help him as its a Guts replacement, not stock. This would be a very cool kit for 95 and 96 bikes at least. anyone have a seat they can lend him?

Thanks!

Nick Jones

92 should be the same as a 95. I like the 96 bike better, I like the white fender. I got the 95er kit on my 05 CR250 and I ran a white back fender on it.

I'm pretty sure Nick said he was going to do the 95 kit. I'll send him this link.

I have a 96 with an aftermarket gripper seat cover but believe the pan and foam are stock? Is 96 OK. Id gladly loan it and would like to buy a set as well.

They actually have left over 95 kits like you see here, but they were never offered for sale to the public. I managed to buy one a year ago from Throttle Jockey and still have it unused. I'm going to frame it. I also bought two sets each of Henry, McGrath and Lamson's name plates that go on the top portion of the tank. Matt wouldn't sell me more than one set of graphics because they said they were going to save them since they are running out of complete kits. I guess they have more of one side than the other. The seat cover they used in 95 was made in Japan by Honda not Throttle Jockey. The 96 and 97 graphics kits were made by 100% and sold through Fox racing. 100% went out of business so those kits are rare.

I sent Matt a link to this, maybe he will post. It would be nice to know how many guys would want these kits, to get the price down. I vote for the 95 Henry style.

That seat would actually be really easy to make with some masking tape and vinyl paint. That's all it looks like to me. You can see where Doug wore through the black part. Just put the graphics on first to make sure everything lines up.

I tried to get them to make some more but they explained that they would have license them through Honda. Also, to get that flourescent color they would have to be screened and that is very expensive to set up for, especially for a small number of kits. When you print the graphics digital the red color doesn't match the plastic and seat which Honda calls Nuclear Red.

Hey pat, hows the 90 CR125 coming along? I finished a 96 MC replica and just started a 93 I'm gonna post some pics as I do it.

No, it's not my bike. It was featured on a Racer X "Your Collection."

nine1seven,

The '90 CR125 is coming along nicely. I recently put a titanium shock spring on it. I'm expecting a 19" Excel rim, Buchanan spokes, plastic, and a Plasticwerks factory Honda number plate on Tuesday.

Hey Pat, I started a thread with some pics of my 96 MC replica. I put a titanium shock spring on it and saved around 2 lbs. Also a TI front axle, etc and forks off a 06 CRF250. It's under 220 lbs without gas. I want to try and get it down to AMA minimum weight of 216 lbs. I have the 100% graphics but the adhesive is weak so I had them copied. Building these things is addictive. I just started a 93 and will post some pics as I go along.

apparently the TJ kit will say 1-800-throttle as they are not liscensed to print 1-800-collect.

Anybody know if someone is making a replica seat cover like the one in the picture?
