Not mine but found it on Craigslist. Contacted the seller and says he is second owner. The story is he bought it from an auction, rode it once, and has been out of work for 4 months and needs money. I want to "save" it, but finding 12 hours to do so is the issue. Posting it on here hoping someone who lives closer could add a nice clean 90's MXer to their collection.

Had one in the day, pretty good bike. Kawis were a stable platform and a little ahead of their time ergonomically. Worth saving!

I'm a stickler to posting an actual picture from the post. Otherwise, these craigslist post topics become very disappointing after the bike is sold... so here ya go guys...

Ha! You buy, I'll fly.

Nice bike for sure. I've been debating selling my 05 Kx125 for something older like that to ride. Im old now so it's all about having fun.

^^^ I second that Jay! All these kids have the new 4-strokes or newish 2-strokes. They are a dime-a-dozen, too common. I am with you on the older stuff. Some high brow shit. LOL.

I texted the guy about the bike, and he said he would take $900...

Always loved those early 90's cartoon graphics on the KX's.

Just got off the phone with him. He still has it, lowest price is $900. Sent him a text, he was quick to respond, and just asked if he had a minute to talk about the bike. Pretty nice guy and he actually sent away a few people that he could tell would just end up destroying the bike. He wants it to go to someone who will appreciate it and take care of it.

I'm psyched on it. Planning on doing winter prep to the race bikes first.. So the 94 is going to hang out until they're done. But, I will be giving it a good bath today and see how nice it really is.

And thanks so much kidkawie! I'll keep it in mind if I get stuck.

Very glad you were able to get the bike! Now I only have one request, if you decide to sell it please give me first dibs!

Deal!

Gave it a quick bath today to see how everything is under the crust.. Rims, spokes, and cases look brand new. The ignition And clutch cover have zero scratches. The original piston even looked great, but everything internal will be replaced before it gets rode. The airfilter was a crumbled mess though. It even has original tires, grips, chain, sprockets. No aftermarket parts what so ever... And no tool marks on any bolt, nut, etc.

Opened this for the first time since factory assembly..

I couldn't believe how clean it was inside.

Long live two stroke, you can't replace the memory of being in the woods and smelling klotz or any two stroke exhaust as someone shoots up a high wall or pipeline

Hopefully later tonight I can post better photos of the completed bike. It was finished the night before Mid-Ohio Vintage days in June. It has been raced once by a lady friend and I can't seem to get the jetting dialed. The bike has been parked since Mid-Ohio ended. Does anyone happen to have the elusive N1AL needle laying around? It would be the stock needle for a 1993 kx125. Thanks!

For now...

You are in luck! I just removed the stock needle out of my '93 kx125. I replaced it with a 1469, which was recommended by Pro Circuit. Get a hold of me and I'll send it your way. Text if best (916) 337-5862.
