92 YZ Shock Compatibility

Need Vintage Knowledge Please !!
Budget but done right resto on a 92 YZ125. What other years will work on the 92? Not real impressed w/ the one that came with the bike and scared to lay out $$$ for a rebuild on a abused leaking piece that's already been rebuilt at least once. Spent alotta time on google and shock dimensions aren't easy to find. Thanks for any help from the group.

I'm quite sure only 91 125/250 fits. 90 was shorter and 93 & onwards have the low pipe routing so the reservoir have high position.

I think banana oil is correct, not even sure if the 91 is exactly the same, the shock length may also be different, looks like you either find a rare aftermarket wp or ohlins or stocker. There may be some other bikes that had similar reservoir placement, maybe wr 500 shock also.
