92-96 CR250 tank seat subframe and bodywork on 89+ CR500 ?

Hi guys. Just about to pickup a 90 CR500 to build up. One mod i remember seeing years ago in a old mag ( that i cant find anymore) was from the guys at dirt rider i think who did a little hopped 500 shootout between the cr500 kx500 and ktm 440 ( maybe) In the article dirt rider took a mid 90's cr500 and installed a 96 cr250 tank seat subframe and plastics. They said it slimmed it out a little. Does anyone have access to this article or have any insight on this ? Just curious what i might be getting myself into here. Thanks !
