I remember this bike being really obnoxious neon pink graphics and seat cover. I feel it just celebrates the radical in your face 80's 90's fluorescent era. Tasteful? Probably not. But that's why I want to create one.

I pulled these freeze frames from the Sacramento Supercross that Doug Dubach won. These are from the "Man and Machine" section. This is how I remember the bike but the pics I've found online don't show the flo pink for some reason.

Please post up any info or pics you guys have or if you know where there might be a real one displayed somewhere?

Thanks.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but they were different color than the stock magenta bikes right!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated getting the colors and graphics right.

Hopefully some of the gurus can shed some light on it.

Where did you come up with your signature line? My buddy was sporting this jersey at the vintage races back in 1992...lol

Let me look through my Inside Motocross magazines and see if I can come up with some pics. Not sure what year they were.

This is great Newman! I don't doubt that it's a ripoff of that shirt lol. I just found it while searching for two stroke quotes years back maybe '08 or '09 when everyone was really pressuring me to switch over. Which I actually never did! I'm now a proud owner of a brand new '15 yz250 as of two weeks ago. Spent 26 years as a Honda rider...

Anyhow if you got some pics I'd love to see them. Thanks!

Any of you guys have a source that could print up a seat cover like that?

I like your taste if noone else does. I love the 91-92 YZs colours and style!

EVO-mx.com can possibly do the seat cover it but printing neon graphics is unfortunately not possible on digital printers which all are using nowadays. Anyway, e-mail them and see what they say.

You have to love the Thor gear also Smile

^^Great photos! I've spent alot of time looking at Evo Mx site great stuff over there. I'll shoot them an email for sure. I'd be satisfied with a color that's close, it would depend on the color of vinyl one could get for the seat I suppose.

I had a 90, 91 and 92 and used Ceet for the pink seat covers and got the graphics from dgy yamaha but they are closed now. I can look at some of my pics from back then and see if there is a logo for the graphics. I did my 92 in flo orange also. That was a rad looking set up

Are you saying you had replica graphics of the factory race bikes from '91? Did Ceet make a cover with that print on it?

Thanks

So after years of research, saving every photo I could find, combing the globe for graphics guys willing to do the work, even interviewed Doug Dubach at Mammoth 2016 (shortly before I broke my leg) about the '91 bikes, etc. this is as close as I could get at reproducing the design on my 2015. Pay no mind to the blue fork guards as the front end was loaned to me by a friend while I get mine serviced. The build isn't done, still am installing A-kit suspension, clamps, updated swingarm, wheels, a few other special parts.

Looks like there’s a hot pink 1992 on eBay as we speak. Might be close to what your looking for.

I saved all the pics from the ad, how's this one for originality ?????

Bike looked sick orig to me..

38 Special (partial to orig Skynyrd here) ; Went to 25-30 local track days/ACR in 2017 & never saw another pink one. 80's reds, yes. Guess since they were such junk back then they just got tossed :{

I bought those graphics off Ebay a couple weeks back... I like the hot pink 91/92 Yamahas as well. Very 90s!

I always thought the '91 Factory Yamaha YZ's of Bradshaw/Dubach/Emig were Flo Orange with blue shading and checkers on the seat yet the '91 OEM Zingers were the hot pink with purple shading.

Highpoint (CEET) has the Flo Orange material, minus the blue checkers and lettering of the factory bikes of '91 but maybe they could print them? They are super nice and super helpful so I'd call 'em. I had them custom make the seat covers on my wife and sons little "camp cruisers" in hopes I could make them look like the Factory '91s. The hardest part however is finding someone that can print Flo Orange replica graphics. Of the places I've called no on will do it.

Nice job...I remember when Yami used that hot pink color on their 1993 Exciter SX...Rare special edition model back then, 1 year only...
