85 CR500 start up!!

Edited Date/Time 7/22/2018 1:17pm
Fired up this freshly restored 1985 CR500 the other day. She's had a full, ground up rebuild in the 'shop. That first fire up always gives me goosebumps!!
And, no this wasn't the first start up, she'd been run for a good 5mins before hand, so there was no chance of cold seizures. (And, so I could go round and check everything for tightness!) But, it was her first run round the yard and through the gears. Feels dammed good to ride a fresh rebuild!

Sadly she's not mine, the customer will be up to collect her in the next few days.

I'll dig the before pics out tomorrow.

I've got some beforepics, at work i'll get em up tomorrow. I can't remember what progress pics I took. They might be in the same file as the pics I took when it arrived.

Very nice build! You look like a giant on that bike! How tall are you?
? Yeh, I'm pretty big. 6.3"-6-4" about 200-210lbs. I need to slim down a little, I'm getting a little podgy!

That's what the customer wanted. He saw my 86 250 and decided he wanted gold. I know the 85 had silver, but I think she looks sweet! I'm sucker for gold rims!
