Hi
I'm going through the process of fitting some '87 cartridge forks and triple clamps to my '79 Honda CR250, as part of this the steering stop needs modifying to prevent damage to the fuel tank.
The 'normal' way to do this looks to be by drilling and adding bolts to the stops on the lower fork yoke, Like this.
This feels a bit of a brutal way of doing it and was looking to modify the stop on the frame, I've seen this as a similar mod for a KX250 and wondered if there was one available for the CR, or if someone had made one themselves they'd be prepared to share their experience on?
Many thanks
Regards
Mark

If you are using 89, CR125 clamps that have a different offset (20mm instead of 22mm) that could cause them to touch the tank though.
The Shop
Thanks again.
