Hi, What did you mean by cases 'dipped'?

Soaked in parts cleaner for 3 days to melt away 40 years of dirt, grease, gunk and grime. Which I then follow up with bead blasting and a couple of coats of PJ1 case paint.

A little more progress this past weekend. I’m now waiting on the delivery of a NOS DG pipe and silencer. Stay tuned!

So it's been a while since I've posted an update on this bike but that's probably because it's just been sitting. The old school DG pipe and silencer arrived a few months ago and I test fit it but that's the last I've done. Unfortunately, I need to chase down an oil leak from the clutch cover and haven't been in the mood to tear it apart. However, I snagged a pair of very nice Fox Airshox for it this week and once those arrive I hope to get going on it again.

Time for an update as it's been a long while since I've done anything or posted any updates on this bike. The tank has been sanded, polished and cleaned up quite nicely. I still need to have the Fox Shox charged and then I can install them. I'm in a quandary on the pipe and silencer combo though. The pipe is a vintage DG cone pipe and is currently raw metal. Should I paint it black or keep it bare and heat the welds to get discoloration? I have two silencers, the stock shorty that's been repacked that should probably be painted black and a new, not vintage DG oval silencer and I'm not sure which one would be a better bet. Other than those few things and a couple of other odds and ends it's just about done.

I sold him that pipe, I had a pallet full of the 76-78 RM125 pipes, they had been moved many times
had a few dings, but i thought the pipes
should be saved

Yes you did. I have a nice stamped metal DG plate to cover the ding on the front side of the pipe.
